((Deal with the huge pic! xD))

The water tower in the city seemed to fall victim to being targeted on many different counts,
and it seems that it's structure is nothing, but a memory now, as a large Colosseum has taken it's place.

It stands tall and strong; backed up with reinforce steel.
Many doors circle the outside and the top has a glowing force field of sorts.

A bird seen to fly and touch the force field was burnt to ash almost instantly by an unknown cause.

Lights flash here and there simultaneously with the entrance of students who were invited with challenges
from the constructor of such a monument.

The (what seem to be) indestructible doors lead to small chamber rooms that are so small, they don't even allow space for
arms to be spread out.
The circle layer of all the entrance doors rotate and open on command from the inside;
Allowing only one person at a time to enter the middle of the battlefield.
(Unless the Head allows more than one which is usually, unlikely...)

Outside of the Colosseum, there are already piles of student bodies who simply no longer have
the will or strength to stand.

Their faces are pale, while others are simply unable to be recognized.
Teachers are also seen aiding to the wounds and trying to decode their way in; to no avail.

The suns angle had not changed in the slightest as the
bodies continued to pile up; powerless.
As the sun shone brightly, it's rays beating down,
a few clouds made their way in front of the sun.
A few cold droplets of water could be felt (if only a moment)
as two figures appeared in the distance.

One very tall beside the other petite figure.
As they got closer, they were identified as Meru and Shiyoshi.

Meru was pale, but it looked so natural on her.
The snowy complexion, bright lavender eyes, and (now) long navy hair.
Her face lit up at the sight of her classmates.
She rose her hand to wave, but it was quickly pulled down by Shiyoshi who
walked beside her; expression cold like always if not worse now.

"...brother..." she whispered lowly to him.
"...they're no good for you." he scolded.
"They didn't help you when they should have...
We need to associate with only those who are worthy."
"..." Meru's eyes narrowed as she slipped her hand from his and folded her arms
continuing to make her way with Shiyoshi to the ever growing line of participants.

I'm sure they tried to save me...didn't they...?
They wouldn't leave me to die out there...
They DID try...
What is Yoshi talking about...?
They...they did...

A black feather breezed through the air as Damien swiftly landed on his feet.
Really, with the lack of directions, it really wasn't hard to get lost... seeing as the colosseum was, well HUGE!
"Damn..."
This place just jittered the feathers out of him.

Meru smiled softly at the greetings of her classmates.
Shiyoshi looked down at her for a moment and then looked away as
he released her hand and cursed under his breath.

"...do you wish to go with them...?" he asked softly.

Her eyes lit up as she smiled a bit more.

"...even if you no longer fit in as one of them...?" he asked.
His voice wasn't cold, but held sincerity and concern.

There was a small silence between them before he broke it.

"...I'll meet you inside...I promise..." he said softly before putting his hand on the side of her face and walking off,
disappearing in a cloudy mist.
I won't be late this time...


Meru's eyes narrowed again as she was incredibly frightened by his plan.
...
Tell your brother he's not invited...
She remembered what Nolce' said as she looked back at the barrier before
walking towards her classmates and bowing respectfully.

"Hello everyone," she smiled and tried to hide all of her worry.
"I apologize for my Brother...being...himself." she giggled softly into her hand.

Damien proceeded forward to where everyone else laid.
"Yo" calling out in a greeting, wondering why they got called on to this place.
"So does anyone know why we're here? Oh, and Meru how are you feeling today?"
A slight pause as he continues with the inquiries.
"The air around here is filled with strong barrier magic and a sense of dread, so we better be careful...
Or else there won't be a us in us."

Meru looked around at her classmates before letting out a heavy sigh.
Shiyoshi, her brother disappeared around the side of the building in a flash.
She pursed her lips thoughtfully about to speak, but before she could say anything,
the loud creak of a metal door sounded behind her. He got it open...

"I guess it's time..." she said softly below her breath.
"Do you guys have a plan or something?" her head tilted to the side as her amethyst
eyes immediately locked on Quintan; their leader. She knew she wouldn't be of much help without her powers,
but she was far too embarrassed to let them know that so she kept it to herself.
"I know as soon as we walk in, we're going to be separated..." she spoke low while
biting on the knuckle of her forefinger.

He must have the powers he obtained somewhere contained in a controlled room...
While they're fighting...maybe I can get to it...
